On 15th of June I was able to have a look into the new building of the Tate Modern. It was a wonderful experience. Of course, the building is very modern and the view from the 10th floor is breathtaking. Yet, what intrigued me the most was the fact that the museum is/was still nearly completely empty and a lot of construction work was going on. I was fortunate to visit the Ai Weiwei exhibition 2015 at the Royal Academy. It was the first time for me to behold Ai Weiwei's work in the flesh and I was absolutely blown away. Here are a few images, mostly details, of the pieces that intrigued me the most. Intention and depth of the work aside, all the work of Ai Weiwei's workshop features incredible craftsmanship.
