Inspirations from the masterclass with Alicia Lomne (USA) - May 26 - June 3 2018. It is wonderful to learn her approach to Pate-de-Verre and how her colourful vessels come into being.
The first step of all Pate-de-Verre objects is to create a mould from refractory plaster. This is then either filled with glass frit (fine or powder) on the inside of the mould only (for hollow shapes) or backfilled in oder to create voluminous pieces.
The images show my attempt on a flowery vase design from clay object to finished glass vessel. A very big object compared to my usual work.
