The paving in the Yu-Gardens in Shanghai's old town shows some amazing patterns. Most of them created with bricks or shingles, others with pebbles and stone of varying size and colour. I love how they display their change over time. #inspiration #stone #materials #Shanghai
I am blown away by the unexpected architectural beauty we find in the far west of Wales. The City of St Davids maybe small, but it is very rich in history and offers an abundance of very interesting medieval sites. #architecture #inspiration
The radiator grilles of old cars and planes are so very different from the ones we see today. It is amazing to see that for the most part all the elements of such grilles were made and assembled by hand. Here are some examples I found during my visit to the Shuttleworth Collection in early February. #inspiration #materials

We are fortunate to be living very close by and we enjoy our strolls around the large pond with all its waterfowl. I particularly love the view from the pavillion up to the little restaurant. The park features well maintained boarders and is a feast for the eye all year round. #inspiration #colour #shapes #nature

Well, I had a closer look at some of my father's wonderful deep sky fotos. I was immediately hooked to the intricate patterns that can be found in outer space... For example the M45 nebula: Or the M33 galaxy: I think you will agree that the virtual chaos and dynamic in these pictures speak for themselves. You can almost
Looking into the garden this morning we had the usual feathered guests... Well, there was a new "face" that we didn't know... Have you ever seen a blackbird with a white collar? The Red Robin was obviously not sure of the new guest. Since he is convinced that the garden is his personal property, he stepped up and made sure that the food was not wasted more than neccessary on this intruder.
Let's take a closer look at this little landlord: He is so small and yet one of the b
